Our mission
Writing is a craft, not a performance.
Flurri.us exists to give serial fiction a quiet place to grow — where writers are paid by the readers who actually read them, and readers spend their attention on purpose.
Most of the internet is built to keep you scrolling. We built the opposite: a small, weekly marketplace for attention. No infinite feed, no follower counts, no leaderboards, no direct messages. Just chapters, released on a rhythm, and readers who choose — with a limited budget — what is worth their time.
What we believe
- Scarcity, not virality. Writers post 2 chapters a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Readers get two likes a week. When attention is limited, it means something.
- Patronage, not advertising.Flurries are a patronage currency. Every unlock and tip goes to the writer. We don't sell your attention or your data.
- The work speaks first.Every chapter opens with a free preview; the rest stays redacted — like a declassified document — until a reader decides it's worth unlocking.
- A hard firewall.Writer and reader accounts are separate. Writers can't follow other writers, and using one side of the firewall to promote the other is grounds for a permanent ban.
- Community on the writer's terms.Readers who've unlocked a chapter can discuss it. Writers decide whether comments are open, and who's welcome in them.
How it works, briefly
Readers receive 3 free Flurries every week to unlock chapters, and can buy or earn Golden Flurries, which never expire. Unlock prices rise as a chapter collects likes, and the most-liked chapters take Golden Flurries. Writers earn from every unlock and tip; during the beta, earnings paid in Golden Flurries can be withdrawn.
